Getting around Rome by public transport is now even simpler. Thanks to a new agreement between ATAC and Trenitalia, passengers can now purchase selected Metrebus tickets directly on Trenitalia’s website and apps.

The available tickets include the popular BIT single ride (valid for 100 minutes) as well as the ROMA24, ROMA48, and ROMA72 hour passes. They can be used on Trenitalia’s Regional trains (2nd class - urban routes only), ATAC buses, trams and trolleybuses, buses operated by private operators and COTRAL services within Rome’s public transport network, ATAC metro lines A, B, B1, and C, the Termini–Centocelle line, as well as the Cotral-managed Metromare and Roma-Viterbo (urban section only) railway lines.

This new sales channel complements ATAC’s ongoing efforts to make travel in the capital more accessible, alongside solutions such as Tap&Go, self-service machines, traditional ticket offices, Moovit and B+ partner retailers.

By offering Metrebus tickets on Trenitalia platforms, the initiative encourages integrated public transport use and helps reduce traffic in the city, making travel easier for both residents and visitors.
