Tram Service Changes for works at Celio Park, Via Prenestina and Circonvallazione Gianicolense affecting lines 3 - 5 - 8 -14 and 19
Due to redevelopment works in Viale del Parco del Celio and tree maintenance along Via Prenestina, Via Marmorata and Circonvallazione Gianicolense, tram services will be modified until Sunday 15 February, with further weekend changes for Line 8.

TRAM LINE 3
9-13 February
For works in Viale del Parco del Celio:
- Last departure from Stazione Trastevere to Valle Giulia at 20:23
Last departure from Valle Giulia to Stazione Trastevere at 18:49
Service will then be replaced by buses between Stazione Trastevere and Porta Maggiore. Trams will run normally between Porta Maggiore and Valle Giulia.
Replacement buses will stop at tram stops except:
- At Porta Maggiore, buses terminate in the centre of the square
- Instead of Viale del Parco del Celio, buses run via Via Celio Vibenna and Via di San Gregorio
- Towards Trastevere, buses use the side lanes between Piazza di Porta Capena and Piazza Albania (as bus line 75)
- Towards Trastevere, buses use the side lane of Viale Trastevere from Piazza Bernardino da Feltre (as bus line H)
14-17 February
For the entire day, trams are replaced by buses between Stazione Trastevere and Porta Maggiore. Regular service operates between Porta Maggiore and Valle Giulia.
Buses follow the same stopping pattern as the evening replacement service.
TRAM LINE 5
9-13 February
Replaced by buses along the entire route.
At Porta Maggiore and Piazzale Labicano:
- Towards Piazza dei Gerani, buses stop in the side lane of Piazza di Porta Maggiore (corner of Via Statilia, stop 71299) and in Via Prenestina at Piazzale Labicano
- Towards Termini, buses stop at Piazza di Porta Maggiore (corner of Via di Porta Maggiore, stop 76628)
Please note:
From 07:30 to 17:00, in both directions, along Via Prenestina between Porta Maggiore and Via di Portonaccio, buses run in the side lane and serve the same stops as night bus n5.
TRAM LINE 8
9-13 February
- Last departure from Piazza Venezia to Casaletto at 19:30
- Last departure from Casaletto to Piazza Venezia at 18:54
Thereafter replaced by buses along the entire route.
Buses operate as follows:
- Instead of Piazza Venezia, departure is from Via degli Astalli
- At Casaletto, terminus is in the side lane (as bus 088)
- Towards Casaletto: tram stop in Via Arenula; side lanes and night bus n8 stops along Viale Trastevere and Circonvallazione Gianicolense
- Towards Via degli Astalli: side lanes along Circonvallazione Gianicolense up to Piazza San Giovanni di Dio (as bus 792), then regular tram stops
Full-day bus replacement between Stazione Trastevere and Casaletto on:
- 14-15 February
- 21-22 February
- 28 February-1 March
Regular tram service operates between Stazione Trastevere and Piazza Venezia.
At Stazione Trastevere, trams depart and arrive at Piazza Flavio Biondo (in front of the station).
Route diversions (07:00–18:00):
- Saturday 14 February: buses towards Casaletto and bus lines H, 791 and 792 towards Via dei Capasso, Circonvallazione Cornelia and Viale Eudes are diverted via Via Bernardino Ramazzini, Via Val Tellina and Via Edoardo Jenner.
- Sunday 15 February: buses towards Trastevere and bus lines H, 791 and 792 towards Termini, Piazzale P.L. Nervi and Piazza di Porta San Giovanni are diverted via Via Edoardo Jenner, Via di Val Tellina and Via Bernardino Ramazzini.
TRAM LINE 14
9-13 February
Replaced by buses along the entire route.
At Porta Maggiore and Piazzale Labicano:
- Towards Viale Palmiro Togliatti, buses stop in the side lane of Piazza di Porta Maggiore (corner of Via Statilia, stop 71299) and in Via Prenestina at Piazzale Labicano
- Towards Termini, buses stop at Piazza di Porta Maggiore (corner of Via di Porta Maggiore, stop 76628)
Along Viale Palmiro Togliatti, due to works for the new Tram Line 10 (Ponte Mammolo–Piazza di Cinecittà), replacement buses use the side lanes.

TRAM LINE 19
Tram service operates between Porta Maggiore and Valle Giulia.
- Between Valle Giulia and Viale Giulio Cesare, the usual replacement bus service operates.
- Between Porta Maggiore and Gerani, passengers may use the replacement bus service for Line 5.
