To support the large number of passengers expected for the concert at Tor Vergata on Friday 4 July, Rome's public transport network will operate special services throughout the event.

As transport arrangements may change at short notice, passengers are advised to check the latest updates on InfoAtac, the Tempo Reale section of our website, station announcements and onboard information before travelling.

Metro service

The Rome Metro will operate continuously for 24 hours, from 5:30 a.m. on Friday 4 July until 11:30 p.m. on Saturday 5 July.

The stations serving the event are:

  • Anagnina (Metro Line A) - shuttle buses operated by third-party providers will connect the station with the concert venue.
  • Giardinetti (Metro Line C) - the concert venue can be reached on foot from the station.

Temporary station closures

Some Metro stations will be temporarily closed for safety and crowd management.

Metro Line A

  • From 10:00 p.m. until the end of crowd dispersal, Re di Roma and Manzoni stations will be closed. Trains will pass through without stopping.
  • During the same period, San Giovanni station will be closed for entry. Trains will stop only to allow passengers to alight, and interchange between Metro Line A and Metro Line C will not be available.

Metro Line C

  • From the start of service on 4 July until the end of crowd dispersal, Torrenova and Torre Angela stations will be closed, with trains passing through without stopping.

Park-and-ride facilities

Most park-and-ride car parks will remain open continuously from 4:45 a.m. on 4 July until 12:15 a.m. on 6 July.

However, from 10:00 p.m. on 3 July until the end of crowd dispersal:

  • Anagnina and Giardinetti park-and-ride facilities will be closed.
  • Part of the Pantano car park will also be closed.

Vehicles left in these facilities cannot be collected while they remain closed.

Bus services

To coincide with the extended Metro service:

  • Night bus routes replacing Metro services (NMA, NMB, NMB1, NMC and N500) will not operate during the night between 4 and 5 July.
  • Bus routes 20 and 500 will be suspended throughout 4 July.
  • A special shuttle bus will operate between Piazza di Cinecittà, Policlinico Tor Vergata and Via Dulio Cambellotti.

From 10:00 p.m. on 3 July, several bus routes, including 046, 047, 20, 500, 504, 515, 556, 559, NMA, N500, T01, T02, T10 and T20, will be diverted, shortened or suspended because of road closures.

From 5:00 a.m. on 4 July, the Anagnina bus terminal will be closed, with affected bus routes terminating before reaching the station. Further details will be published as soon as they are confirmed by the authorities.

Road closures

Several roads around Tor Vergata will be closed from 3 July onwards, with restrictions introduced in phases before, during and after the event. Motorists should allow extra journey time and consider alternative routes.

Tickets

Passengers travelling to the concert are strongly encouraged to purchase their tickets before travelling.

Contactless payment by credit or debit card, smartphone or smartwatch is the quickest way to access the Metro. One payment card or device is valid for one passenger only.

After the concert, your concert ticket will also be valid for free travel, but only for journeys starting from Anagnina (Metro Line A) or Giardinetti (Metro Line C).

Information and assistance

Additional staff will be available at Anagnina and Giardinetti stations to provide information and assist passengers. Please follow the instructions of transport staff and security personnel at all times.

Passengers are advised to check the latest real-time service updates before and during their journey, as transport arrangements may change in line with operational requirements and instructions from the authorities.
