Modernisation of the Tramway Network - Service Changes during the month of July: Works affecting lines 2 - 5 - 8 -14 and 19

Several infrastructure projects continue to affect Rome's tram network. Roadworks on Via Giacomo Bresadola are impacting tram lines 5 and 19, while Metro C construction on Via Barletta and the construction of the new Tram Line 10 on Viale Palmiro Togliatti are disrupting services on tram lines 14 and 19 respectively. Since 8 July, tree maintenance and utility works by Acea have also affected tram line 2. Since 13 July, track renewal works on Circonvallazione Gianicolense have also been impacting tram line 8.

Here are all the details of the affected routes, timings, and replacement stops.

2	The tram service will be fully replaced by buses.	All day	Replacement uses serve the following stops: TOWARDS PIAZZA MANCINI At Piazzale Flaminio, buses depart from bus line 490 stop. At Piazza della Marina, buses stop at the bus stop on the side lane.. At Piazzale delle Belle Arti, buses use the tram stop. On Viale Tiziano, buses stop on the side lane, sharing the stop with bus line n201. Instead of stopping on Viale Pinturicchio, buses stop on Lungotevere Thaon di Revel. TOWARDS PIAZZALE FLAMINIO At Piazza Mancini, buses depart from the bus terminus. Instead of stopping on Via Masaccio, buses stop on Via Flaminia, near Piazza dei Carracci, sharing the stop with bus line n201. On Via Flaminia, buses use the stop on the side lane, shared with bus line n201. At Piazzale delle Belle Arti and Piazza della Marina, buses use the tram stops.
5	Replacement bus line 519 between Piazza dei Gerani and Largo Preneste Between Largo Preneste and Termini station, and vice versa, services are available on tram line 514 and to reach Centocelle on bus line 519.	All day
8	The tram service will be fully replaced by buses.	All day	Replacement buses serve the following stops: TOWARDS PIAZZA VENEZIA At Casaletto, buses depart from the roadside terminus shared with bus line 088. On Circonvallazione Gianicolense, buses stop on the side lane at the same stops as night bus line n8. From Viale Trastevere to Via Arenula, buses serve the same stops as the tram. TOWARDS CASALETTO The Piazza Venezia terminus has been relocated to Via degli Astalli. On Via Arenula, buses serve the same stops as the tram. On Viale Trastevere and Circonvallazione Gianicolense, buses stop on the side lane at the same stops as night bus line n8. Buses also stop at Largo Argentina. Extended services to and from Porta Maggiore Replacement buses also operate on the extended journeys to and from Porta Maggiore, serving the same stops as the tram except for the following: Instead of Viale del Parco del Celio, buses run via Via Celio Vibenna and Via di San Gregorio. On Viale Aventino, towards Casaletto, buses use the side lane, following the same route as bus line 75.
14	Replacement bus service between Largo Preneste and Quarticciolo	All day	On Via Prenestina, bus stops are located on the tram lane between Largo Preneste and Via Giacomo Bresadola, and on the side lanes on the Via Giacomo Bresadola-Viale Palmiro Togliatti section. On Viale Palmiro Togliatti, stops are on the side lanes.
19	Tram service is replaced by buses between Valle Giulia and Viale Giulio Cesare Regular tram service between Porta Maggiore and Valle Giulia and vice versa. Between Porta Maggiore and Largo Preneste service operated by tram line 514 and to reach Centocelle by bus line 519. Between Largo Preneste and Piazza dei Gerani service operated by replacement bus line 519 Trams will return to Prati with the opening of the new tram terminus on Viale delle Milizie.	All day	Buses serve the following stops: TOWARDS VIALE GIULIO CESARE At Valle Giulia, buses terminate in the centre of the square, just like tram lines 3 and 19. Up to Viale delle Milizie, buses stop at the same stops as the tram, then continue along Via Leone IV and Viale Giulio Cesare. TOWARDS PORTA MAGGIORE on Viale delle Milizie, buses serve tram stops at Piazza della Marina, buses stop in the side lane like night bus route N201 LARGO PRENESTE - PIAZZA DEI GERANI SECTION Replacement buses (line 519) serve the same stops as the tram.
