From July, Atac is increasing night bus services and deploying travel assistants on key routes and at major metro stations as part of Rome's new night-time mobility plan.

As part of Roma Capitale's "Piano Roma Notte" plan, Atac is strengthening night-time public transport services to make travelling around the city easier and more comfortable during the busiest evenings.

From 11 July, Atac will increase the frequency of the night bus routes that replace Metro Lines A, B/B1 and C after the last trains, each Saturday night. The buses will run every 8-10 minutes throughout the night, doubling the current service frequency and providing 72 additional journeys.

The enhanced services include the following night bus lines:

  • NMA: Anagnina – Battistini
  • NMB: Rebibbia – Laurentina
  • NMB1: Termini Station – Viale Ionio – Termini Station
  • NMC: Piazza Venezia – Pantano/Monte Compatri

In addition, from 9 July, support staff will be available on board the NMA, NMB, NMB1 and NMC services on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. They will be available to help passengers with general information and collect customer feedback.

Support staff will also be present at bus stops serving the busiest metro stations and key interchange points on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. These include:

  • Metro Line A: Termini, Battistini, Anagnina, Flaminio, Vittorio Emanuele and San Giovanni
  • Metro Line B: Termini, Colosseo, Piramide, Bologna and Tiburtina
  • Metro Line C: San Giovanni

These enhanced services are part of Roma Capitale's "Piano Roma Notte"initiative, which brings together public transport, local authorities, law enforcement, Civil Protection, community organisations and local businesses to improve safety, accessibility and services across the city during the evening and overnight hours.
