Atac, Modernisation of Tram line 8 from 4 July 2022

Track replacement and extraordinary infrastructure maintenance works are expected from 4 July 2022

The renovation project involves the complete replacement of the tracks for a length of approximately 6 km. Upgrade works will also concern the replacement of sleepers and switches as well as ballast reconditioning.

A tram transit interruption will be necessary at least for the first six months on the entire section of line 8 from Piazza Venezia to Via del Casaletto.

A replacement bus service will be available during the tram service interruption.

Timetable remains unchanged:

  • Departures from Casaletto:
    from Sunday to Thursday from 05:10 until midnight
    Fridays and Saturdays from 05:10 until 03:00
  • Departures from Piazza Venezia:
    from Sunday to Thursday from 05:35 until 00:28
    Fridays and Saturdays from 05:35 until 03:26
