Accessibility of surface vehicles for passengers with motor impairments is eased by a fleet with about 98% of buses equipped with boarding platforms and designated wheelchair area. Furthermore, nearly 70% of trams is equipped with platform-level floor and wheelchair area. In addition, all new platforms and those undergoing renovation works - whenever it is technically feasible - are built in compliance with current legislation.
