Not sure which is the right ticket for you? You don’t know how to pay for city parking? Here you will find all the necessary information.
The integrated Metrebus tariff system was created to facilitate mobility in Rome and Lazio. Thanks to the collaboration between Atac, Cotral and Trenitalia, it allows to travel on different forms of public transport operated by the above mentioned companies, included buses of the lines managed by Roma TPL, with a single ticket.
Tickets and passes within the Metrebus Rome System allow to travel within the territory of Rome:
The Lazio Region is divided into seven zones identified by six letters: A , B, C, D, E, F.
Zone A - corresponding to the city of Rome - is equivalent to two tariff zones (e.g. to buy a ticket valid for zones A and B, you will have to pay a fare corresponding to three zones)
Tickets and passes within the Lazio Metrebus system are of two kinds: “Rome included” and “Rome excluded”. The cost of the tickets varies according to the number of purchased zones.

Parking
on blue stripes is subject to hourly parking rates, depending on the city area,
and includes also reduced rates.
The ordinary hourly rate is 1,00 € outside the limited traffic zones and 1,20 € within the limited traffic zones.
Reduced rates:
In certain non-residential blue-stripe areas there is a so called proximity parking rate (also valid for residents and designed for people who go to work):
Within blue-stripe areas and near some hospitals, there are free parking spaces for a maximum of 3 hours with hourly disc, bordered by white stripes.
Residents with permit as well as electric, hybrid and car sharing vehicles, in addition to the categories provided for by law, are exempt from paying the parking rate. How to apply for a free parking permit
PARK & RIDE AREAS allow long term parking at a discounted rate and permit to reach the City Centre using urban public transport. All Park & Ride areas are placed next to the stations of Metro Lines A, B and C and of Regional trains and adjacent to urban and suburban bus terminals. Parking in Park & Ride areas is free for Metrebus card holders.
Parking fares depend on the position inside or outside the Roman railway ring.
Inside the railway ring (parking lots of Cipro, San Pietro railway station and Tiburtina):
Outside the railway ring (all other Park & Ride areas):
Park & ride areas are free for Metrebus subscribers, subject to a specific authorization issued by Atac; holders of a corporate Atac or Cotral ID card for employees, subject to a specific authorization issued by Atac; employees of public bodies and companies with a Mobility Manager who carry out a company shuttle bus service in a certain park & ride area, subject to the specific authorization issued by Atac; disabled people, if they visibly display the original disabled permit in the car.
PARKING LOTS WITH DIFFERENTIATED CHARGES are placed near major attraction points of the city, both to encourage the turnover rate and to meet the needs of all of user categories (residents,
workers, tourists, etc.).
The parking lots are: Partigiani (next to Ostiense station), Metronio, Trieste and Trastevere.
Hourly parking rates and/or subscriptions as well as exemptions for particular user categories are different for each parking lot.
